The client, an independent digital business operator, was experiencing two key pain points: difficulty in migrating critical files from personal Google Drive to Google Workspace, and consistent inbox issues caused by spam filtering problems. They needed both challenges solved with minimal downtime and no data compromise — and they needed someone reliable they could trust remotely.
The Challenge
This project involved two main technical hurdles:
- Migrating a large volume of business files and folders from Google Drive to a newly created Google Workspace account
- Resolving spam filtering issues where legitimate business emails were being marked as junk, creating communication breakdowns
- Ensuring minimal disruption to daily workflows and remote work continuity
- Providing reliable support during the transition, especially in a solo-business environment

The Process
I followed a two-part strategy to complete the project efficiently and cleanly:
- I reviewed the client’s folder hierarchy and permissions, then used Google-recommended admin tools to transfer Drive content without data loss, duplicates, or ownership errors.
- I analyzed incoming mail headers and domain behavior, then reconfigured spam settings, allowlists, and sender authentication (SPF/DKIM) to ensure proper inbox delivery.
- Throughout the project, I stayed closely connected to ensure everything went smoothly, answering questions and cleaning up post-migration issues like broken links or access mismatches.
Results
- All Google Drive data transferred without issue
- Spam issue fully resolved, allowing reliable client communication
- 100% client satisfaction and confirmed intent to rehire
- Zero disruption to daily business activities
Conclusion
When you’re running a business solo or remotely, the tools you rely on must work — and you need someone trustworthy on the other end. This project showcases how even small-scale migrations and issues can be handled with professionalism, speed, and total peace of mind.
